The project involved the complete demolition and clearance of existing industrial buildings and hardstanding areas at the former Eircom depot, making way for a significant mixed-use redevelopment. The new scheme incorporates residential dwellings, a crèche, community facilities, and public open spaces, creating a vibrant and sustainable urban environment.
As part of this transformative development, OHMG delivered 130 new social housing units, designed to meet the diverse needs of the community. The housing mix includes 57 timber-framed houses — among them four single-storey, age-friendly Clann dwellings — alongside 36 traditionally built duplex apartments and 40 age-friendly Clann assisted-living units housed within three four-storey apartment blocks.
This redevelopment exemplifies OHMG’s expertise in urban regeneration, combining technical excellence with a people-focused approach.
