OHMG, in joint venture with OHLA, delivered the new St Patrick’s Junior School building and associated siteworks in Corduff, Blanchardstown, Dublin, as part of the DoEY Rapid Build Framework of Schools.

Project Overview

The project involved the construction of a new two-storey Junior School building, completing the wider school campus alongside the existing Senior School building.

The works included 19 classrooms, a GP hall, four SEN classrooms, two central activities spaces, two multi-sensory rooms, offices and supporting facilities for students and staff.

Campus Facilities

The completed development provides a modern, accessible and inclusive learning environment, with extensive facilities designed to support day-to-day school life.

External works included 75 parking spaces, 150 bike racks, four ballcourts, drop-off areas, pedestrian access, bicycle lanes, access roads and landscaped areas, including sensory gardens.

Phased Delivery

This Design and Build project was delivered across two phases.

Phase 2A focused on the construction of the new Junior School building and landscaping to the southern part of the site.

Phase 2B included demolition of the existing Senior School building, ground-level reduction, installation of the stormwater attenuation tank, drainage systems, and completion of the remaining parking, bicycle and ballcourt facilities.

Quality Delivery

Delivered to an extremely high standard, the project brought together a dedicated internal management team and experienced design partners across architecture, civil and structural engineering, M&E, landscaping, fire consultancy, BIM, health and safety, quality, planning and commercial management.

The project reflects OHMG’s ability to deliver complex education projects safely, efficiently and collaboratively within a live campus environment.
