The project involves the development and construction of a new replacement Post Primary School, spanning approximately 10,314m². This state-of-the-art educational facility will feature advanced learning environments and high-quality sporting amenities, including 3G pitches, all situated on the existing school site. Designed for long-term functionality, sustainability, and community benefit, the new school reflects OHMG’s commitment to delivering innovative educational infrastructure.

Phased Construction to Ensure Continuity

To minimise disruption to ongoing school operations, the project is being delivered in carefully planned phases.

  • Phase 1: Construction of a temporary access route from Prince Andrew Way, development of the lower pitch, and installation of part of the new 3G pitch with a temporary surface.
  • Phase 2: Commencement of the main school building, designed and constructed to achieve a BREEAM Excellent sustainability rating.
  • Phase 3: Following the transition into the new building, the existing school will be safely demolished and removed, with the final stage completing all remaining site and external works.

Modern Educational Design and Compliance

The new multi-storey complex will feature a combination of two-storey and three-storey structures, designed to meet the latest Department of Education (DE) Handbook regulations. This ensures full compliance with educational, environmental, and accessibility standards while providing a flexible, future-proof learning environment.

Building for Educational Excellence and Sustainability

This ambitious development exemplifies OHMG’s expertise in large-scale educational construction, combining technical precision, phased delivery, and sustainable design principles. The replacement Post Primary School will serve as a centre of learning and community activity, setting new benchmarks for modern, energy-efficient education facilities in Ireland.
