The Northern Ireland Economy Minister Diane Dodds has praised OHMG for their work on the Southern Regional College’s new £15m campus at Banbridge.

In one of her first engagements since the restoration of the power-sharing executive at Stormont, she was accompanied by Managing Director Martin Lennon on a tour of the building as part of the topping-out ceremony.

“Excellent progress is being made,” she said. “The new facilities will deliver industry-leading education and training, including an innovation hub space to support entrepreneurial and business enterprise and digital media facilities.

“I look forward to seeing this fantastic new campus open to students in September.”

OHMG Construction Director at the Banbridge site, Seanie O’Hare, as well as Brian Doran, Chief Executive of Southern Regional College, were among the official party who also heard the minister outline some of her hopes for the future of further education colleges in helping students gain the skills, and knowledge needed to compete for jobs and pursue fulfilling career paths.

Mr Doran said: “I am delighted to witness the significant progress that has been made on the campus.  I pay tribute to the work of the contractor and out wider estates for getting us to this point.”
