Overview

The project includes the construction of a new two storey secondary school (circa 9,230²) on a greenfield site. The new school will be constructed to all relevant TGD guidelines and achieve NZEB compliance. The accommodation includes a multipurpose hall, general purpose hall and a special education need’s unit. Externally there are significant site works including the construction of new junction from Athy Road and new access road within the site, associated set downs, car parking, 4nr. new ball courts, grass playing pitch and major surface and foul water infrastructure upgrade outside the site boundary. The site is located in a parkland setting surrounded by mature woodland which is to be preserved and protected during the construction phase. The green-field site possesses a deep underlying layer of topsoil which will be carefully excavated for later re-use on site.
