The project involves the erection of a modern two-story secondary school, spanning approximately 9,230 square meters, situated on an undeveloped piece of land. This new school will be meticulously constructed in full accordance with the applicable Technical Guidance Documents (TGD) and will meet the stringent requirements for Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB) compliance.
The facilities within the school encompass a multipurpose hall, a general-purpose hall, and a dedicated unit for special education needs. Additionally, the project entails extensive external site improvements. These include the creation of a new junction connecting to Athy Road, the establishment of a fresh access road within the site, the provision of drop-off areas, ample parking space, four new basketball courts, a grass playing field, and a substantial upgrade to surface and foul water infrastructure beyond the site’s boundaries.
Notably, the site is situated within a picturesque parkland setting, enveloped by mature woodlands that are to be preserved and safeguarded during the construction phase. Furthermore, the greenfield site features a deep layer of topsoil, which will be meticulously excavated and thoughtfully repurposed for later use on-site.
