St Mary’s College boasts a compact and efficient three-level arrangement—lower ground, ground, and first—that accommodates 825 pupils. The construction of the new 11,500 square meter college unfolded in two main phases:
Phase 1 involved the construction of the new college building and associated works, while Phase 2 focused on the demolition of the existing structure and the construction of playing fields and main facilities.
This transformative project, in conjunction with St Cecilia College Derry, was procured under the Government’s Private Finance Initiative for St. Canice’s Educational Trust. The initiative underscores a commitment to advancing educational infrastructure, providing modern facilities, and enhancing the overall learning environment for students and the community.
