As part of the DoES Design & Build Schools Framework 1, OHMG has secured the contract for four new schools under Lot 4. The scope of work includes the design and construction of the following:
1. School 4A – Scioil an Spiraid Naoimh Primary School (Laytown, County Meath):
– Demolition of the existing single-story school building and removal of prefabricated structures.
– Construction of a new 4,100 m2 two-story building.
– Facilities include 24 classrooms, a general-purpose area, a special needs unit, ancillary teaching and staff accommodations.
2. School 4B – Belmayne ETSS Secondary School (Dublin):
– Design and construction of an 11,747 m2 building with two- and three-story areas.
– Capacity for 1,000 students, including four special needs rooms, a general-purpose area, a PE hall, and staff accommodations.
– Construction of sports and green areas, an access road, bicycle lanes, landscaping, connection to public services, power substation, and associated works.
3. School Lot 4C – Ashbourne Community National School (Ashbourne, County Meath):
– Design and construction of a new 3,832 m2, 2-story, 16-classroom primary school building.
– Includes a special educational needs area, a general-purpose room, accommodation, and external works like two basketball courts and parking spaces.
4. School 4D – Stapolin ETNS School (Stapolin, Dublin):
– Design and construction of a new 3,623 m2, 3-story, 16-classroom elementary school building.
– Features a two-classroom special needs unit, a general-purpose hall, ancillary accommodation, and a new rest area with pedestrian and cyclist access.
– Adherence to high sustainability standards, including NZEB (Near Zero Energy Building) and BER (Building Energy Rating) A3 certification.
– Implementation of full BIM Level 2 practices throughout the design, construction, and operational phases for optimal efficiency and collaboration.
