Overview

A state-of-the-art 11,000m2 teaching and research facility for 920 staff and students, promoting the growth of Life-Science and research for ‘Global Food-Security’. The new school is a fully compliant BIM Level 2 project, the first in Ireland to be level 2 compliant.

The school houses a lecture theatre, CAT III laboratories (including 17 mass spectrometers), teaching spaces, seminar rooms and an impressive entrance/breakout atrium. The building is designed around the atrium or ‘glazed street’ which acts as the social hub of the school. The central light wells provide natural light to all floors and create an airy, light-filled environment.
