Gate Person – OHMG Ltd (Ballymakenny, Drogheda)

OHMG Ltd is seeking a reliable and proactive Gate Person to manage and oversee the access and egress of site operatives and deliveries for an exciting new accelerated delivery housing project in Ballymakenny, Drogheda. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of the site, with a strong emphasis on safety, efficiency, and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Punctuality & Reliability: Must demonstrate excellent time-keeping skills and dependability.
• Access Control: Monitor and control site access, ensuring that all personnel, visitors, and vehicles have the required authorisation before entry.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all site operatives, visitors, and deliveries using a digital sign-in app and communicate relevant information to senior site management.
• Delivery Coordination: Direct incoming deliveries to their designated areas within the site to ensure efficient unloading and minimal disruption to site operations.
• Traffic Management: Monitor and manage traffic flow, particularly on the busy main road adjacent to a school, ensuring that safety protocols are strictly followed.
• Communication & Compliance: Act as a point of contact for site security matters, adhering to health & safety regulations and reporting any issues to the site management team.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in a similar role (e.g., gatekeeping, site security, logistics) is preferred.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Awareness of health & safety procedures, particularly in high-traffic areas.
• Familiarity with digital sign-in systems is beneficial but not essential (training provided).
