Founded as a small contracting firm in 1972, the Company is now part of a multi-faceted organisation with interests in general contracting, house-building, civil engineering, shopfitting, private development and Public Private Partnership.

The City of Edinburgh Council have appointed OHare & McGovern for the construction of the new Boroughmuir High School which will see teaching areas arranged around an atrium, traditional classrooms leading out to break out areas and a rooftop games area. The school will also have a new public park along the canal’s north bank. Work is expected to start in October, with the school finished by the summer of 2016.
